Passed all tests (full read/write exercising) with no concerns immediately after received. Functioning fine so far, with excellent overall performance as anticipated. Quiet when horizontally mounted in common case, but some vibration noise when in vertical external dock setup. Head noise less than I expected. none so far. A lot more expensive then WD Caviar Green, but absolutely larger efficiency. Quickest drive in my method. |

Good quantity of space and cache size for the value if it worked. Supposedly a lot of people have been obtaining difficulty trying to install this with a windows 64 bit operating system. The answer is Incredibly user unfriendly but in my case it didn't matter. Arrived defective, when I 1st popped it in it showed only 250GB on the BIOS knew suitable there it most likely wouldn't perform right but I was stubborn and believed perhaps it was my BIOS or maybe I required diverse drivers. Nope, just also several poor sectors on it sending it for a replacement and hopefully the subsequent one particular will perform. |

Simple to install and performs perfectly. NA Just about every time I start up my Pc tells me "No difficult drive detected!"- Not confident if that's an issue with the drive itself or if I messed something up when installing, but I haven't had any actual troubles with the drive at all, so I'm not as well worried. |

Great drive, and I love the fact that you can download the WD Acronis Image software for free...makes cloning to the new drive easy and makes back-ups easy too.The drive is a bit noisy though. If you have a silent setup, you will definitely hear the "crunching of data". I can't hear it over my fans when the case is closed, but I can hear it when the sides of my case are open.It is fast though, and I have always had good luck with WD drives. They last a long time. |

I own 2 of these and purchased them one year apart before the flooding (thankfully or I would be really angry). Around the end of October the first 1 packed it in with no warning and took 6 years of my data with it. My own fault for not backing up my important data, for sure. Still hurts though especially when you read all these glowing reviews and think it's bulletproof. I gladly paid the extra money WD commands for quality reputation of their products and now I don't trust my other 2 WD Blacks at all they are just transfer and wipe drives for me now. Nothing important is stored on them which is better then a total write off I guess. Like I stated in the 'cons' both these drives had a lot of chatter in SATA II and even more in SATA III. 'Fool me once' WD but you will probably never see another dime of my money. It get 1 star for each year of use. |

One drive kept failing a week right after I got it, which was the only factor holding back a five-egg rating. I was able to get a new one particular very easily, but not quickly. Not a single issue given that, although. |

I've had this for a solid 8 months now and it's still running great. I originally used this as a storage/programs/games drive until I got my 2TB green drive. Now it's purely just programs and games and that has left me with more than enough space for MANY games. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase but at the current price for hard drives nowadays it seems a little pricey. |
Sequential Transfer Price is just as rapidly as my 300Gig Raptor, starts out at about 130MB/s.Access occasions about 12.5ms overall. Nothing at all But Newegg has gotten better about packing drives. This drive was packaged for shipping much better than the processor in the identical order.
