But then I thought this drive was fast until i got a SSD.

Pros:It's fast, high capacity, easy to work with. Just a good, solid HDD. Comment: Don't really see the noise complaints everyone has... Aside from some slight mechanical noises when it's really working, it's pretty much silent.

I was a small apprehensive following reading about other men and women's problems, but I don't regret getting this at all now. It came nicely packaged in an anti static bag with a lot of bubble wrap, and has installed/performed with issues. I will probably get yet another WD drive for this construct in the close to future. None so far for me, let's see in a year. Pulls a five.9 in windows 7 knowledge index for disk transfer rate, for what its worth. I have read elsewhere that this is the highest achievable score for a mechanical drive (not SSD)

I recently purchased two of these drives to use in a RAID array. They carry out flawlessly. The only gripe I have is that they make a lot of noise when reading or writing.
