Western Digital Caviar Blue 160GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:None that I know of...
Pros:Very Good 70-80MB/s Read speeds, Really quiet! CHEAP! Comment:
I bought two of these for my rig in hopes of raid, but my motherboard is lame, and has no support. When I first powered up, I thought they were both dead because I could not hear them, but as soon as I started installing Windows XP, I knew they were fine. They are a little big for me (with 268GB Free) But worth every penny! Gotta love Western Digital |

Western Digital Caviar Blue 160GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:Slower than others
Pros:Cheap, quiet, reliable Comment:
The drive is exceptionally quiet, and after installing over a dozen of these, I have never had any issues with them. It is slower (HD Tune read average about 65 MB/sec) than the others, but for most users, it's good value. |

Cons:none
Pros:Great value, runs fairly cool Comment:
Got this hard drive on sale as a second drive in my build. I do a lot of video processing and i work with 2 hard drives: one as a source, and one as a destination. Runs cooler than my maxtor and seagate, but warmer than samsung spinpoint. |

Western Digital Caviar Blue 160GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:Not the quietest
Pros:Quick, inexpensive Comment:
This drive is a bargain, and is much quieter than my Seagate of the same size. It is not silent, however, and in certain applications can click loudly. But overall a good value. |

Cons:None here.
Pros:Quiet and Fast. Comment:
Great drive for a basic PC. This thing is one quiet drive. If 160 gigs is enough for your needs, get it. Or get two and have some fun with Raid. Good solid drive.I'm not disappointed. I would recommend it. Nothing more to say. Get it.Get it.Get it.Get it.Get it.Get it.Get it.Get it. |

Got this with my system 7 months ago, And I haven't had a problem with it yet. If my board supported RAID, I'd run 2.All in all I'm impressed, and reccommend this to anyone looking for a cheap, well performing HDD. |

Western Digital Caviar Blue 160GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:none
Pros:-its a western digital so you know its solid-no problems with any extra drivers or anything like the hitachi i bought for the other comp.-good budget HD Comment:
Solid Western digital. Ive always bought WD's for my computers and i have only had 1 go on me. that was only because the case always got knocked over and kicked cuz it rattled. mechanical failure. anyway, solid budget harddrive, like a hard drives a hard drive but you can get faster ones with more storage and such, but this ones decent speed and storage for a good price. i would recomend this. |

Western Digital Caviar Blue 160GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:None
Pros:FastCheapSilent Comment:
I bought two of these to make a RAID 0 configuration. Being single platter they offer more performance than other bigger capacity drives. I think those are perfect for that very purpose : redundant array of inexpensive drives! They're fast, cheap and silent... I don't know what I could ask more of a hard drive. |

Western Digital Caviar Blue 160GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:Relatively small capacity
Pros:Fast, quiet, cool Comment:
A very good hard drive. Because it only has one platter the latency is low and the read and write rates are among the top 7200RPM hard drives, as well as noise and heat is kept to a minimum. Getting two of these and putting them in RAID 0 is very good for a cheap and very fast equivalent to a Raptor, costs half as much and holds twice as much, with better read and write rates as well. |

Western Digital Caviar Blue 160GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:8mb of cache only
Pros:Quiet, Low Idle nosie, low power consumption Comment:
It's very quiet even on max reading/write, since it is only about 60 bucks a hard drive, it would be a cheap solution to an extreme gaming rig if you set up 4 in raid 0 (beats dual raptors in raid 0) so if you want a quiet and fast HD and save money buy these! |
I have always bought WD's for my computers. This is a solid budget hard drive, like any hard drive a hard drive but you can get faster ones with more storage and such, but this ones decent speed and storage for a good price. I would recomend this for sure..
