Cons:Out of the two drives i bought ,one seems like it has very slow write speed, and got worse, any idea's?

I'm not sure but one of the first drives i tried with speed tests ,showed me a very high read ,but sorta an ok write,tried the next drive and was super fast read, and super fast write,ahh huh!,so althow all the programs ive tried told me the drive is fine,i tried the drive again and seemed like i was getting even slower write's, but has improved sorta,so the good drive is like 100mb and the bad one was giving me like 40 to 60mb originaly, then went to 10mb to 20mb, or 30mb?,any idea's?. |

There's nothing impressive about this drive and I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary when I bought it. I bought this drive as a backup drive where I drop my images/backups. It is my archive drive. It doesn't need to be as fast as my Data drive (WD Black) or my OS drive (Samsung 850 Pro SSD).It has been reliable for the past 2 years. Exactly what I need for my needs. Price is pretty good for what you get, IMO. |

I use this as my main storage unit for projects files and all while my OS and commonly used programs are on my SSD. After having an SSD the speeds of different HDDs doesn't seem to matter because the differences are so minuscule compared to the, SSD vs HDD, that you'll never even notice it and if you do it's probably because the programs you are running just run that slow. |

Note, these are SATA 3.0 harddrives despite just saying "SATA" in the title. Probably just a error for leaving it out.Anyway, shipping was fast, and the drives are cheap but well made. I decided on WD drives because of their lower failure rates per year, and I'm already pretty happy with my choice. |

60$ for 1TB of storage is ok. This is the Blue line up of WD so you get decent performance out of it for a decent price. Quiet enough so that you don't know it is there. If you want pure storage, look elsewhere since even WD will have better offerings (Red or Green). But for games or applications that you use a little more often yet not often enough to deserve a place on your SSD(s), this is perfect. |

Serves as a great storage drive for videos, music, etc that I don't need to keep on my SSD. Very quiet, I cannot hear it over my case fans. It seems a lot faster than my previous drives, so I cannot complain.
