It's too loud, and the vibrations are insane. Get a Hitachi or Seagate instead. CrystalDiskMark 2.2 gave me a score of 1.614mb/s where Hitachi Deskstar 250gb gives me 2.164mb/s. And during the test, the Hitachi was near silent. The WD drive whines and croaks during this test. |

Alright after all reviews and experiences, this drive merely reaches the satisfaction level. It is just as fast as my 8 MB cache 120 GIG old Samsung Hdd except it is louder. After doing more research, I should have gone for Seagate 7200.11 or the newer Samsung F1 Series for little more money. Remember your data is absolutely crucial so take my opinion and get one of those hard drives, you will be happier. |

Not really much to say, really ... we'll see in a couple of years if it's still running. But I can say a couple of things ... it's quite quiet, although I have it in a silent case with rubber grommets for sound absorption; it's relatively cool ... cooler than some other drives I have installed in similar systems. All in all, I will be buying this one (or a similar model) from WD again. |

Pour la garanti vous avez 3 ans ce qui est bon. Ce produit me satisfait et lorsque j'en aurai de besoin j'en achèterai encore. |

This thing gets good burst mode numbers (275mb/s) but falls below my Seagate 160 SATA2 for throughput (60 vs 70 MB/s ). That could be because of the platter format. Temperatures are average and it doesn't appear to be conspicuously loud ( I don't notice it above my three other drives, cpu and gpu fans) so I'm satisfied. |
J'ai acheter ce disque dur pour seconder mon 250 gb Seagate, coté vitesse, je doit dire que je ne discerne pas de différence. Le disque dur se tient pas mal plus chaud que le seagate, malgré une utilisation moin élevée, j ai des bad sector et des problèmes de défrag.Pour m'assurer que le disque dur dure le plus longtemps possible, je me suis assurer une ventilation accrue .Un disque dur qui fait ca job sans plus pour moi.
