Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:None
Pros:Very quiet, worked without any troubles. Comment:
I bought this for a client who's laptop needed a new hard drive as their "Toshiba" drive failed and being a fan of WD drives, replacement was a no-brainer. In all the years I've had WD drives, I never had one fail, (knock on wood) and I find that they run a bit quieter than the Maxtor or Quantum drives I have, but to be fair, those haven't failed on me in 11 years either. All in all, a great replacement and reliable drive. I have no doubt it'll give them many years of service. |

Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
a little loud runs warmer than slower drives
Pros: Fast250gb is enough for an older laptopIt`s WD so it should be reliable Comment:
I purchased this to replace a dying 200gb hd in an older toshiba laptop. The old drive had a sustained read and write around 20MB/s with a horrible seek time. This drive achieved sustained read and write speed around 70MB/s and a much more reasonable seek time. The change in system responsiveness was amazing. Because the battery on the laptop is pretty much useless now, it stays plugged in all the time, so I don`t care about power consumption, and the new drive is a little noisy but it`s really not that bad.Overall very happy with this drive. |

Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
Price is too close to 500gb drives nowadays. Better to spend the little extra for double-capacity.
Pros: More responsive than 5400rpm drives Comment:
I installed this into an Acer D150 netbook and experienced quicker windows startup and response with web-browsing. I did not notice additional power consumption from replacing the factory 5400rpm drive. |

Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
none
Pros: It works, its WD! Comment:
Black edition gives peace of mind. The price was right on sale, the drives in my opinion, are my preferred brand and never seem to fail. I fix a fair amount of pc's and notebooks, nothing too technical, and I never have issues with WD like I do with some others...koff...seagate..koff koff maxtor. |

Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
occasionally makes some noise, but it's barely audible.
Pros: This is a very fast laptop drive (7200rpm) Comment:
Bought this because the hard drive that comes with my laptop is too small and it getting full. Glad I made the purchase. Scorpio black is the best laptop hard. Way better than the Samsung spinpoint I currently have. Swapped the two and install this drive in my laptop, reinstalled OS and everything works perfect. |

Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
- None that i can think of!
Pros: - Fast - Surprisingly cool Comment:
I purchased one of these drives to replace an older 5400rpm that i had in a 2007 gaming laptop that was nearing the end of its use. To my surprise it has brought new life to it. It is a blazing fast drive. I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve performance without dropping a huge wad of cash on a solid state drive. For the record , this went into a dual core 1.6Ghz 3Gb Ddr2 - 667Mhz laptop. I have a few black series drives in my desktop and i can safely say this performs just as well. |

Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
-little bit noisier
Pros: -7200 rpm-16mb buffer-got it onsale! Comment:
its a 7200 rpm drive in a laptop! makes for a great replacement for the Dell XPS notebook I have.going from 5400rpm 8mb buffer to 7200rpm with 16mb is noticeable.I got this onsale, it was few dollars more than the 160gb seagate 2.5 drive at the time, so more performance and more room.5 stars because the only way you can top this is to goto ssd! |

Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:
- None? Of course it's not as fast as the WD Black in 3.5" edition but you can't compare apple with orange.
Pros: - Fast for a 2.5" HDD- REALLY cheap mostly once price-matched Comment:
Bought this to replace the HDD from the laptop of my grand-mother that had too much bad sectors. It was really easy to install, very cheap and performs faster than what she had. Very satisfied. |

This is an excellent drive for use inside an HTPC case where space is limited. I have it installed in a SG05. Runs very quiet and cool unlike the 3.5" versions. Pretty fast for a 2.5" drive |

Western Digital Scorpio Black 250GB 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Cons:-Loud-Runs slightly hotter than 5400 RPM
Pros:-Low price-Good performance-Adequate size Comment:
I bought this hard drive to upgrade my xbox 360 and so far I notice that the speed is better, and with this price you can't go wrong. The size is great for a 250GB HDD replacement. The only problems are that it runs louder and hotter than a stock 5400 RPM HDD. Good overall. |
