It was an upgrade from the 250gb drive that was in it. Had to update the intel storage drivers so that I could update windows. Wierd!! Anyways great deal with PM for a solid WD drive.

HD Tune reported 68 MB/sec outter sequential read, 42 MB/sec middle and 32 MB/sec inner track. Access time was reported at 15.4 ms which is mediocre for a 7200 RPM Drive. In contrast, my 3.5" 7200 RPM Seagate Drive reported a 12.4 ms access speed (seek time + rotational latency). All in all, it's an OK drive if you can pick it up used in good working condition from buy/sell classified for cheaper. Otherwise not worth it.
