I bought the fax modem because the Acer Notebook I bought with Windows Vista Home Premium didn't have a modem, nor fax program. So, I needed one. I plugged it in, hooked the phone line to it, downloaded a fax software program online (essential fax) and started using the modem. I was compatable with the EF software, sends the fax and receives. To me, that is the long and the short of the modem. So far, the modem was a good value, and the features, quality and performance are good as a working fax modem. Cbb

My first time ordered from this site. I am using Windows7 home premium. Installing the device was a breeze. It works great as well. Very happy.

I tried for 3 days to get this to work. Called my provider many times, called manufacturer, and it still didn't work.

Have a Lexmart Printer,Scanner,Copy Machine with Faxing capability in the software. Did not have a 56K modem in my computer so could'nt use the fax option. Ordered this item & it solved the problem. Plugged it in,installed the driver from the cd & I had a modem. Sent my first test fax within 15 minutes of the installation & it works great. Thanks

I have two people I do work for and they needed to have dial up access, so purchased these and they are very happy with them.

This fax modem is very easy to use. Just plug it in. I was receiving faxes immediately. I have not figured out how to get it to send faxes with MagicJack yet but I know some guys who do that so it will work when I figure it out. The issue is with MagicJack and not this nice little modem.

Works just as spastic as my internal software modem, so I bought a Rosewill hardware dongle and it is great.

I bought 2 of these. In both cases under Windows 7 the modem would not hold the phone line off-hook. I had to lift an extension phone off-hook to maintain communication. Tried to install on a Windows XP system and the units both locked up the system.

I bought this modem for a laptop computer designated for use with Selcom Version 6 software. Unfortunately, this modem doesn't work with the software. According to Selcom, certain soft modems will not work with their software, and unfortunately this is one of those modems. Its a shame though, because this is a small affordable unit which I hoped would work.

This device is small, really small, works extreamly well as a FAX Modem. The only thing missing, as far as I can tell, is sound. That is fine with me. I really like this product and would recomend it to others seeking portability and reliability.

It's not big or complicated or fancy. It is small, simple and easy to install and it does just what we need it to do. We only need a modem to dial into one company for one repeated task, and this modem works just fine. No complaints.

Nothing else you need to know, except sound didn't work (didn't even expect it to HAVE sound) until a recent driver update. Rock solid during day-long dialups to old old Unix boxes.
