Great for those with no-so-great service
Comment:
I agree with the above comments that if you are merely looking for a ''speed boost,'' this may not be the product for you. That said, I purchased one of these for the last apartment that I lived in. I have an iPhone and my service there was spotty, at best. Friends would call, and my phone (even though it showed 1-2 bars) would dump them directly to voicemail. I installed the antenna up high on my patio, and ran the cable back to the middle of the apartment. The difference was night and day. The issues of no service, missed calls, etc. were no more. I would highly recommend this product, just be sure to follow instructions on antenna vs broadcaster placement. |

Got unit yesterday and took 1 hour to go from 1 bar to 5. Using it on desktop PC. Please read all instructions, they too are first class. |

Well
Comment:
Yes it does incress the amount of service. I am using for my 3G air card and it does speed it up a little though the speed boost is not worth the cost. If you are getting little to no service then this is what your after. IF you think 1 or 2 more bars of service will speed your card up forget it. It is worth about 2 bars more on a air card. Just rember your service quality is from the cell provider, I have 4 bars of service and still get slow 3g speeds, I may have to refresh the page once in a while to get it to load but I am longer getting bumped off from lack of service. Yes it does work, for that I am thankful. It does also work on my cell phone however you need to be prety close to the base to get the gain. Also any review that states it has a large coverage area in your house is full of it, figure 10-12 feet TOPS. Maybe I have something wrong with mine but every 10-15 hours I have to restart this as the service seems to drop off the longer it has been in use. |

It really works
Comment:
I didn't think it would work, I was ready to return it before it even arrived. To my surprise, it does what it says, I've lived in a bad cell area most of my life. Now I have full bars, and I also use a broadband (3G) which it also boosts. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT 100% |

Has really helped the home office
Comment:
Prior to installing this product, I struggled to make and receive calls on my blackberry. I live in a remote area where cell coverage is spotty and work out of a home office. At first I mounted the remote antenna on my deck where I would previously stand to make a call. However, this mounting location did not work out very well. I then mounted the remote antenna on the roof of my home. The receiver is mounted in the basement where my home office is at. I am now able to make and receive calls from the office, where previously, I was not able to. I do have dropped calls on occasion. However, this product really helped with my communication. Prior to the purchase, I was apprehensive about the cost. However, I found it was worth the investment. |

simple fix to a big problem
Comment:
Well worth the investment. In our office it was impossible to get more than 1 bar on any cell phone regardless of carrier. The moment we installed this device that was fixed and everyone in the office (regardless of carrier) was at 4-5 bars. We had some trouble getting it installed properly and running the cable from the antenna on the roof down to the repeater in our office, but once that was corrected we were up and running in no time. This is a simple fix to a big problem and a great product. Joe Sloboda |

Wireless Ext. Cell Phone Signal Booster Dual Band
Comment:
From the sounds of things I got a good one, I have had this installed in my house for around a year now and the thing works really good. With out it, forget about making a call were I live the boonies. But with this installed I make calls all around my house even in the basement, I have droped a few calls but 98% of the time I never lose a call the antenna is installed on the top of my house and actually on top of an old tv antenna on the roof. If you drop or cant make calls were you live give this a try, you can allways send it back, if your not happy. |

We've installed these in our concrete office building and they work really well. We ran cable to the roof and mounted the antenna in a spot that already had 3-4bars. If you don't mount the antenna someplace that has good coverage they won't help at all. |

Useless. Unit puts out only 1/2 watt of signal. At 1 foot from the antenna I was able to get 1 bar of signal. Installed a 3 watt unit (JDTECK) in same location and got 5 bars. Stay away from zBoost and get a 3 watt unit from the start. |

Like others have said, it works... but you have to be VERY close to the base unit. For me, there's no signal boost unless I'm within about 10 feet, and to get to 4 bars I have to be within about 3'. If that fits your phone use, you might like it. If you're really hoping to cover a floor of your home or a few rooms, you're probably going to be disappointed. |

Comment:
I live in an area with acceptable cell coverage outside my house (can place and receive calls with satisfactory clarity)and none inside. I purchased the dual-band zBoost after the single ban advertised for my provider did not work. I have 2 bars of signal where I placed the outside antenna and no reception at the base station. I have moved the base station around the house, moved the antenna around outside and adjusted all variables per the instructions without improved cell phone reception. I do not recommend this product |

I live in the mountains and we have exactly one choice when it comes to broadband internet. The DSL provider here has service that maxes out at 200 kbps. Through work I have a wireless card that I can get to connect here at the house but with a max speed (according to speedtest.net) of 120 kbps. I just purchased and installed this product, and immediately connected my wireless card and went out to speedtest.net. I pulled a download speed of 1360 kbps, and upload of 300 kbps. I am more than thrilled! |

The advertisements are incorrect. If you are looking for a system that boosts the signal over 2400 Sq Ft, you will be disappointed. If you like sitting outside on the roof in the rain just to get a signal, than this system is not for you. If you want to be able to sit at your kitchen table and talk, then this system may be what you are looking for. I stand outside with 1-2 bars (not you can not hear me now) and the conversations break up. I mounted the antenna on the roof away from trees and ran the cable to the booster positioned in the kitchen. There are generally 4 bars within 10-14 feet of the system and all seems to work well. It beats having to go outside to get a signal! |

Comment:
When I got the product I was a little worried - it comes in cheap box and plastics look cheap / clunky. Coverage claims are nowhere near what they say on the box. I should say the the unit does increase the signal - But only if you are standing very close to the base unit. Walk 5 feet and the signal fades FAST to where it becomes unusable again. I retutrned it and back to square 1. I was considering Wilson but opted for a Spotwave after it was recommened by cingular rep. It covers the entire 1st floor of my home so I'm pretty happy. |

This may be a quaility product, but if you only have one or two bars outside your home, you may as well wait for something with a little more power. I think it's made for people who have great signal outside and live in a lead house. It took the paltry one or two bars I get outside, and basically moved it to the center of my house, and broadcast it in a whole 6 foot radius. Great concept, just not effective. |

This unit works every bit as well as advertised. I would recomend it's use anywhere you can receive a signal. I was not able to use my Sprint phone inside my office before, now I am able to access the internet with the Sprint high speed Air card as fast or better than DSL. |

This product is working awesome! We couldn't get any signal inside our company, but could catch a few bars if we moved out a few doors to the outside. We now have 5 full bars of signal extending our Verizon signal. The long coaxial cable between the outside antenna and base unit is perfect. |
The signal in my home is zero to one bars. On the roof it's five. When installed this unit gives me 4 bars within 10 feet of the unit in the same room, and that's good enough for me. But it does not reach through walls to other rooms. There is no improvement whatsoever in reception in the rest of the house.
