XFX Radeon HD 4850 HD-485X-ZNFC Video Card
Comment:
It is capable of incredibly very good graphics and is not a pushover for games when it runs crysis at maximum settings. It also has no compatibility troubles with windows 7. The heatsink and fan dont cover the vram, it is not a large deal being the ram never gets super hot anyway. Two of these in crossfire for my subsequent create.I didnt acquire mine at newegg being I got it for a flat 60 bucks but I would recommend it for any mid level gaming rig, but I will be upgrading remorselessly to a pair of 6850s and just moving this card to a secondary gaming rig and putting it in crossfire with a different 4850.

Effectively It was a superb factor to run in crossfire with my 4830 and saw a efficiency boost in games. Ran HOOOOOT!! Ran up to 80c then had to download MSI Afterburner to set the fan speed to 50% simply because ATI overdrive wouldnt enable me to do squat! So Right after resolving the heat issue it went haybonks and started buzzing with frame renders (Min/maxing windows, scrolling, and also in games.) At Least I still have my excellent ole HIS 4830 to chug along for now. Only rated it 2 because this is my 1st card ever to commence giving me problems and so soon following putting it into my new technique.

Slimmer and shorter than earlier 4850. Frame rate improvement of 40-50% on most games. Popped it in and enabled crossfire and off we go. None The mobo runs at x8 when running crossfire. I noticed the new card which has an open style runs about five degrees cooler than the older card, which is a fully enclosed design card which is also by XFX.

- Low-cost. Got it for 47 bucks after rebate.- Cool ࿎ idle, 70 load on my system)- Efficiency/Price is remarkable This is not a correct desktop 4850. First of all Windows recognizes this as Mobility Radeon HD 4850 (initially, due to the fact it becomes "Radeon HD 4800 Series" soon after installing CCC. Second, GPU-Z lists the GPU as M98 (instead of RV770 like it does with my ASUS 4850). M98 is the codename for Mobility 4850. This is not mentioned anyplace on the box. This tends to generate driver problems. For example, I'm unable to use ATI Overdrive with the latest ྫ.two) Catalyst drivers. The sliders maintain on resetting. Nevertheless, if I use the drivers on disc Overdrive functions fine. However the drivers on that CD are based on Catalyst 10.6, and this is a frigging graphics card so employing old drivers is a large no-no. XFX site says this card is not HDCP compliant. Not sure how accurate that is, but if accurate it would make this card much less appealing than other *proper* 4850s.

absolutely nothing.... this is the first video card from xfx that has been completely useless...i have no control more than the fan speed, and the fan doesnt automatically adjust to the escalating heat from the card, fails frequently and is fairly much worthless... i was promised a lifetime warranty on this, like most xfx productsbut that didnt even matter, cause it failed within the very first two seconds of gameplay in dead space 2i am really unhappy mainly because i went to excellent lengths to get this card, so the impact of knowing that its useless makes me extremely unhappy...i am hoping that i can at least get this factor replaced, i know newegg will not let me down, so i strategy on sending it in next week, and maybe the subsequent card wont be a dud...i know issues fail, thats why i wont lose faith in xfx, i just happen to get a bad card

Took my system to the next level! I have modest specs ƒ.5 GHz processor, 4GB RAM) but this card lets me run all the very best games. I'm running Bulletstorm and America's Army 3 with out so significantly as a hiccup! None that I could discover. I took the assistance of other reviewers and downloaded the drivers rather than using the included CD. I was worried that this deal was too very good to be accurate, but it's not!

-Good for casual gaming!-If you get it for 50 bucks yay you=Runs Star Craft, COD Black Ops, and everything else I've thrown at it -Slightly loud fan, at lease compared to my previous cards.-ATI's drivers, meh-Doesn't support most recent direct x and 3d stuff If you're constructing a mid level pc this is a genuine solid card. I was aiming to build a pc under 600 to replace my aging P4. I ended up constructing a Intel Core i3-530 Clarkdale two.93GHz and this card was a wonderful compliment. I'll most most likely finish up upgrading next year but till then she'll keep tearin it up!

This thing is potent! :DMy EVGA 8800GT died on me final week and I thought I wouldn't be able to get a new graphics card because my budget was low. Luckily there was a rebate and coupon code for this card which brought the price down to only ๆ.50 shipped! It outperforms my 8800GT and I got it for a third of the price of my 8800GT when it 1st came out. Nonetheless handles modern day games incredibly properly like Starcraft 2. Crysis 2 is playable although there are some hiccups here and there. Not truly noticeable although. And the card is surprisingly a lot smaller than my prior 8800GT. Double Lifetime Warranty is always a plus for XFX. The heatsink appears lacking and the memory is not covered. My temps go up to the mid 60 C at full load which isn't too bad. And the fan can get truly loud at times. Was able to overclock this beast to 700񲿞 with ATI Tray Tools. MSI Afterburner and CCC didn't function for me. Running on the most recent Catalyst 11.3 drivers and all is nicely. Got a score of 2102 in Furmark with my OC Settings :) WEI rating of 7.three for each graphics and gaming graphics. And to best it all off, XFX provides you a smaller door hanger to show your true gaming wit ;)AMD Athlon x2 6000+ OC @ 3.18Ghz4GB RAM640GB HDD 7200RPMXFX HD4850 1GB OC @ 700񲿞ANTEC 300 ILLUSIONANTEC EARTHWATTS 650

1 Gig GDDR3, 256 Bit, 800 SPU's, My 585W HEC PSU has NO problem running this and an AMD Phenom II X4 965 with 6 Gigs DDR3 Ram too. Runs Battlefield BC2 with high settings and 1920x1080 resolution. Can we say Amazing! The card provides me a 7.3 WEI for each Aero and Gaming. Not poor for ๠ None, Except the price just went back up to 贘. Bummer for you if you want to buy it now. But even at 贘, its still a good purchase since it is much more effective then an HD 5670. Which are in the 贘 cost range anyways. I just received mine currently, and Newegg got it to me in 2 days with the free shipping. I got mine on sale for only ๠, and thats with the "Rush Processing" choice. I also have sent in my ฮ rebate, so as soon as I get that. The card essentially only cost me โ. Awesome!!!

Every little thing on the details page. Super wonderful deal. With the ฮ discount, ฮ rebate, no cost shipping and when I purchased it, ษ for 1st time purchase (which it was on a new account...) I got this baby for า.99!!!! Direct x 10.1, kinda lengthy about as long as my ATX MB (MSI 790XT-G45 AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard.) It hits my power cables. Even though it is an older generation GPU, it beats every little thing except the newest high finish GPU's. On Furmark It gets a score of 1797 @ 1440x900 MSAA 4x average frames per second 30 (max 43, min 26) and max temp of 67 C. If you are on a spending budget, get this card soon simply because I think they are trying to get rid of them, and you may well not be able to get it anymore. Incidentally, it also has a lifetime warranty, so make certain you put the bax in a safe place for lengthy term storage, so when it does eventually die, you will almost certainly get a actually sweet upgrde. Oh, and just like everyon has been saying, don't bother with the catalyst install. On mine it hanges when it is detecting the hardware (don't know if it's mainly because of the other AMD drivers for my MB.) But windows update has a current driver it installs when you boot it up with the card in it, so no worries.

Really affordable for the performance you get. That is most likely its greatest pro. When you put two in crossfire, there is no far better performance combo for the money. I am glad they are nonetheless offered. I have two AMD phenom II X four machines with these in crossfire. One machine has Gigabytes, both machines are getting over 100 FPS in BFBC2 high settings. I adore the cost/performance of AMD, thank you for the competition to the large guy. Chili con Carne, James Con, Condalisa Rice, Madellin Con, Constipation, Charles Manson. Must I take the red pill or the blue pill? Thanks NewEgg for all the good deals.

It is fairly low-cost and is a really powerful card. 1 gig. 256 bit. None, other than the reality that it covers my board's CMOS battery and jumpers (but that's the mobo's fault and not the card's) Aww. A ฮ rebate came into play one day after I bought this card.Oh well.

Very best 256-bit card you're going to uncover for 75 bucks! Can run SC2 on anything but ultimate or extreme or whatever that leading setting is. Cooling method is a joke. Luckily I don't stress it, but that fan barely spins, and the heatsink only has that name simply because I don't know what else to call it. All in all, solid 75 bucks. It's right up there with the rest of Radeon's goods.

It's inexpensive. Two cards in SLI right after the rebate expense less than 贄. If you follow directions on the rebate, you will get it. I have filed 100's of rebates over 20 years and 99% of them are successful. The other 1% need a phone call or e-mail. Crossfire bridge is not included. When I referred to as XFX, like some of the other reviewers here, they refused to send it to me. Immediately after multiple calls, they lastly stated they'd try to dig one up. C'mon guy! I purchased two of these from you. The least you can do is send me a Ū portion that expenses you 50 cents to manufacture.Crossfire does absolutely nothing! I am by no means able to achieve the same 3dmark and benchmark performance of Tom's Hardware. It's processor dependent, but I'm running this on an i5-2500k overclocked to 4.1ghz. Enabling Crossfire doesn't change the Windows Encounter index at all Ɨ.three) and marginally increases frame rates in 3dmark. Score improves 30%, not the ᄒ% scaling THG seems to constantly get. What gives? Running two of these takes a lot of power. You're far better off acquiring a decent existing generation card. We tried to do it on the affordable but truthfully, the power consumption over 1 year will eat away at that quickly. These video cards price about ์ alone to run every single year. It's not a couple of bucks as I initially thought. Far better to get a single card remedy than Crossfire. Specifically because most 1155 socket motherboards will run Crossfire at either x8/x8 or x4/x4 even. If you can afford an nf200 chipset x16/x16, you wouldn't be looking at this card anyway. That would be like running a Toyota Yaris engine in a Ferrari chassis. Utter waste.

Low cost card, great performance with the windows drivers. That's the reason why it's only got 2 eggs. The drivers for this card is terrible. The card is 2 years old and however nonetheless nothing out to fix the dual monitor set up. The card does not wake up from suspend properly when two monitors are hooked up.The drivers that came with the card did not install either. When the CD was put in to install the, the disc showed that "No XFX item was detected" had to download the driver off XFX's internet site that required you to register. Even with the drivers installed, the personal computer will BSOD everytime at windows logo load up. At the moment using the drivers that Windows 7 installed automatically. Generic 4800 series drivers are running the games pretty nicely, but still can not put the personal computer on suspend. The computer system will only wake up when 1 monitor is attached. I should have spent the extra ฮ on a 5770.

Card is very good and so far performs well with average temps. Make certain you anticipate to pay the acquire on price paid, not on the 'minus rebate' value. XFX denied a rebate even when clearly purchase withing the time of the rebate dates. It would be good if a business would honor a rebate that is marketed as an incentive to invest in, not as a scam to maintain your dollars.

So far, excellent card for cost I paid! In between the free shipping, ฤ off instant, & ฮ mail-in, I feel like I ripped-off NewEgg! I'm usually an Intel/NVIDIA fan, but for what this card expense me versus a comparable NVIDIA 9800 GT or 250 GTS, at virtually half the price! While I only play older games, (Empire Earth, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, SimCity four, and so on.), it plays these older games with out a hitch at highest resolutions. Getting 1 GB GDDR3 256-bit interlaced memory certainly helps! Replaced NVIDIA 9600 GT, and 7900 GS prior to that. Having a quick GPU absolutely assists, but I feel that numerous people forget about having quickly memory on a video card, too. It's not NVIDIA, which isn't necessarily a bad factor, but just some thing various and new. Also, I have to lower my resolution down to 1680 x 1050 so that it fills-up my 23" monitor, but not a great deal you can do about that. Otherwise, at highest resolutions 񢈀 x 1080), I have about a 1" black bar around my screen. Oh well, no biggie. Nonetheless looks fantastic! There were some initial complications with this card due to how I had configured energy saving in Windows 7. Just use the high performance settings of Windows 7, then modify your settings from there. Don't use the Balanced or Power Saver, else it will have a tricky time waking up the monitor or shutting down completely.
