XIGMATEK ACK-I5361 Intel Core i7/Core i5/1155 compatible Bracket Set
Cons:Needing it in the first place
Pros:Easy to mount, tight, stable and secure contact with CPU, Reuse your LGA775 heatsinks on new sockets Comment:
Works great with Xigmatek HDT-S1283 and OCZ Vendetta 2 so older LGA775 heatsinks can be resued with new LGA1156 and LGA1366 motherboards. For anything other than the stock Intel HSF push-pins are just not good enough, and even then they are a nuisance. This a a great versatile mounting kit and the include wrench and bolt system makes it easier to work in tight cases and around the biggest tower heatsinks. It would be nice if this came with LGA775 heatsinks to extend their life as even PMed this a little expensive for a few pieces of metal. Even so I'd rather have it than not. |

XIGMATEK ACK-I5361 Intel Core i7/Core i5/1155 compatible Bracket Set
Cons:Must remove entire motherboard to install.
Pros:Increases cooling performanceDon't have to worry about pushpins Comment:
Mounted a HDT-S1283 onto a LGA 1156 with this kit. This kit should really be included with the heatsink but i guess they like to make more money. Is a lot better than pushpins so no worrying about heat sink disconnecting and damaging motherboard. Make sure to price match this to at least $8.00 otherwise it is too expensive. |

XIGMATEK ACK-I5361 Intel Core i7/Core i5/1155 compatible Bracket Set
Cons:Price
Pros:SecureEasy to useWay better than push pins Comment:
Used this to mount a HDT-S1283 on a LGA775 motherboard. Works for both north-south and east-west mountings. It's a bit expensive for what it is. PM! |
I purchased it to allow by Xigmatek cooler to work with a LGA1155 and it works just fine.
