Yate Loon D12SL-12 120MM RED/BLACK Fan Xxxxrpm Xxcfm Xxdb 3/4PIN Sleeve Bearing OEM Sleeved Retail
Cons:none yet
Pros:cheap (when on sale), sleeved, moves adequate amount of air, retail packaging includes a 3-pin to 4-pin molex adaptor and screws Comment:
Over the span of 20 plus months, I purchased almost 2 dozen of these for several personal builds. Only 1 seems to be on the brink of failing (creating a very mild rattling/humming sound). The fan in question is right above the cpu and acting as a top exhaust fan. This fan has been running non-stop 24/7 since June 2011. Maybe it's the combination of heated air radiated by the CPU cooler and the horizontal mounting position that could be causing the fan to fail prematurely. Regardless, the price and performance is still more than adequate and I usually get these fans wheneve they go on sale for about half of retail.(Unfortunately they no longer go on sale too often and its the cougar turbines that a usually bundled)They come in an ordinary blue cardboard box with not much fancy printing or specs written on them. I prefer this kind of packaging over the plastic packs since these seem more readily recyclable. Overall they are nice fans. Nothing fancy but no unreasonable CFM claims as well. They do an adequate job and will still be my fan of choice for cheap builds. |

Cons:None.
Pros:Using as intake on Antec Gaming Series One case. Keeps it cool while gaming, without making much noise. Red colour adds a unique splash to the front of the case. Comment:
Great case fan for $4. At that price this fan can't be beat. I wasn't sure about the red colour as my case was primarily black, but it actually looks pretty nice when installed. This was bought to provide intake on my Antec One Gaming series case, and it is doing a great job. Noise is about on par with the Antec stock fans, which is wonderful. If you need an extra fan and don't want to spend the dough, don't hesitate to buy it. |

Cons:Out of the half dozen I bought, one occasionally makes an ever so slight squeal noise.
Pros:Moves a lot of airLooks awesomeGreat price when on sale Comment:
Got a hand full of these on sale a while back. They all work great, moving a lot of air, except one very occasionally makes an ever so slight squeal noise. Sounds like the bearing. I just bang the top of my case where the fan is and it goes away. I guess that can happen to any fan, so it's not that big a deal.I got these on sale for $4.00, so I'm not too picky. |

Cons:- Cheapy cherry red colour... whoa.
Pros:- Cheap- Sleeved- Quiet Comment:
- Good budget case fans if you need more. I would recommend them if you just want to get the job done, nothing more. I wouldn't put these in a high-end gaming rig, just because these are so boring to look at......... |

Yate Loon D12SL-12 120MM RED/BLACK Fan Xxxxrpm Xxcfm Xxdb 3/4PIN Sleeve Bearing OEM Sleeved Retail
Cons:Weak Sleeve, Standard Retail Price
Pros:Quiet, Relaxing Sound, Average Airflow, No LED lights, Color Scheme Comment:
I stole 6 of these fans for $2.99 each. If you prefer to sleep in a quiet, dark room with your computer on and your computer is in your room I highly recommend this product. Low noise, a pleasing sound, good airflow and no LED lights are key features of this product.I do not recommend this product for extreme overclocking setups.I do recommend this product for light overclocking setups, for prolonging the life of your components, or for prevention of overheating.Overall a fantastic product that suits my needs. I deduct one star because the airflow and noise level are not the best for the standard retail price of $9.99. However if this product were to be on sale for $6.99 for less do not hesistate to buy. |

Cons:Sleeve on cable is not that of a premium product. Somewhat frayed on end and is not sealed
Pros:Characteristic and impressive smoothness that Yate Loon is known forPremier air:noise levelFeels like a quality item Comment:
Would buy again. Excellent item. The noise produced at full load is quiet, but not silent. In the bottom of a case it might be acceptable for picky listeners. Most silence enthusiasts prefer these at around 1000rpm. |

Cons:their speed cannot be controlled nor read
Pros:cheap easily installed Comment:
Simple device to cool the mobo and other essential devices but since there are 2 wires attached to the 4 pin molex, there is power flowing and out but no wire that can be used to offer readings for their rpm. There was one from Gelid "silent" model with 4 pins similar to a floppy cable but it is very short and can only connect to the mobo and this defeats the purpose of where i want to mount the fan. |

Cons:Not easily mounted on rubber grommets
Pros:Quiet, seems to be pushing air, looks good Comment:
Got these fans to replace the fans on my spire thermax 2. They are a lot quieter than those stock fans (even though they are suppoivly rated at the same dba). Can barely hear my computer now even if the fans cranked up.Only downside was I have rubber mounts for the cpu cooler and these fans are covered from screw hole to screw hole, so it was very hard fishing the rubber things through them. |

Cons:A little weak, a little loud, big profile.
Pros:Efficient, cools well Comment:
They aren't great at moving air but they get the job done. They aren't very loud. Keep them where you want fans but can do with less CFM. Maybe where you can keep two in a row like above your heatsink.Build quality is good. Much better than generic variety's.Recommend when on sale for $4. |
I've been running four of these fans for two and half years. After roughly two years, one of them started to rattle from time to time but for the price, these are a great deal.In terms of noise, I found these to be reasonable for how cool my computer is now. Now that I have the fans in, there is no noticeable temperature change between the room and the inside of the case. I'd definitely recommend these for anyone looking for new 120mm fans.
