ZALMAN CNPS10X FLEX CPU Cooler
Cons:-The back plate is not flat against the board for 775 users, this is strange-NO 754(i know its old, but it would not even need a fan in my media center) support even tho its listed, the clip is not there.
Pros:+Quiet with the right fan+Support for 2 fans+Multi-socket compatible back plate |

ZALMAN CNPS10X FLEX CPU Cooler
Cons:One fan covers the first Ram slot on my MB and I don't think there is enough clearance under the fan.
Pros:Bought for a core i5 system. Works great. Easy to install. drop my temps by about 25-30 C from the stock heatsink with a mild OC done. Paired it with 2 Coolermaster R4's in push pull. Love it. Comment:
Excellent cooler, I am really happy with the performance. It is somewhat big, but it does a great job. Highly recommended. |
I got this since i was planning a future upgrade to i5 or i7(i7 920). With the compatibility list, I figured this was a good idea(It was also on sale!). I paired this with a low speed Noctua fan and it was so much quieter then my last fan(CNPS 9500AT) and the temps where better too. The only down side was that the fan seemed to be spinning up closer to max so I decided to try 2 Antec Pro 120mm fans I had sitting around. They do not spin up much and stay very quiet, so it may stay this way for a whileI was kind of disappointed that they list 754 on the compatibility list since there is no hardware for it(its just a clip with screws on either end). Yes I have one of those I wanted to try it on as well.In the end this heatsink works very well and I would get again at the sale price.
