ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:The fins tend to break the skin and sometimes cause cuts, so be careful. It collects dust as any CPU HSF will, but its easy to clean if you have an air compressor or air-in-a-can.

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Noisy at high speed
Pros:Fan speed regulatorStill working great after 3 years Comment:
I've had this coller for over 3 years in my computer and have it set at a fairly low setting and can barely hear it, At high speed it does make a good amout of noise.Keeps my CPU nice and cool, hopefully extending the life of my CPU. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:-mounting can feel like you are going to brake your motherboard (by the pressure you have to put on it)-the fins on the heatsink get smaller and smaller as it gets closer to the middle and thats where 'the dust you will have a hard time cleaning forms'-cannot remove fan provided
Pros:-still holds up with a lot of the newer coolers-small compared to some of the other coolers-quiet Comment:
ive had this cooler for over 3 years now and its been on my AM2 board and now its on my AM3 board, paired with a great thermal paste and you have yourself an amazing cooler. my temps on my AMD955 OC'd to 3.8ghz are around 30degrees idle and about 45degrees on load, and im over due for re-appling paste. the fact that you cannot change the fan is a bummer since if it brakes you are out of luck, the fact that you have to apply a huge amount of force to get it secured isnt a fun task, however once its in its really in and gets a great seal. the most annoying thing is cleaning the thing as dust collects as its so hard to remove dust once it gets built up in the little cracks close to the middle of the heatsink, even my air compressor cant get it all out. but those are small annoyances ive seen over the years. the good definitely outways the bad. at $50 its a little expensive in my opinion, as you can pick up better coolers when they go on sale for 50, but overall great product |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Somewhat noisy without the resistor cable.
Pros:All copper.Mirror finish.Bundled, good thermal paste.Easy and quick install on AM3 motherboards.Great thermal conductivity from stock heatsink on 1090T Comment:
I have owned Zalman heatsinks prior to this one.One of the features I look for are all copper, and a nice finish to improve the contact between the CPU and Heatsink.Zalman always delivers for me. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Weird clicking noise, the fan is off and wobbles......... very annoying
Pros:Works very well, cools 9550 q 3.3ghz to about 33C Comment:
Honestly, this cooler is great, but something is amiss with the quality of mine; the fan isn't in properly or something, and it's gone from a small wobble to something that now makes a very fast clicking noise. Not happy |

Cons:Size
Pros:Quiet & Cool Comment:
I price-matched and got it for a decent price. I tried to turn the LED off but you have to take it apart, otherwise it's overall pretty good. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-27-10 02:47 PM |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Difficult to install. Loud--when the fan is on high.
Pros:Keeps your processor cool. Comment:
This was a pain to install, but it does work really well. I like the manual fan control, except there isn't much of a difference in temperature, on my cpu, when running the fan at it's lowest or highest rpm, just an increase in noise. I think I'd go with something smaller and easier to install next time. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Expensive, huge
Pros:Great cooling, blue LED, looks great! Comment:
This heatsink is a beast but gets the job done very well. I was able to take my amd 9500 from 2.2Ghz to 2.75Ghz stable and running cooler than just running at 2.2Ghz with stock cooling! Looks very cool in the case (not that i see it very much being under the desk...) |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Price
Pros:Amazing and so huge!! Nice Design, Zalman quality, All in pure Copper Comment:
So huge but so nice. I use this huge thing to cool my E8400 at 4ghz and my temp. are about 25.2C idle and 27.7C load. Ambient temp. is 26C.Running this at 1300RPM Using this with a Antec 900. Quiet under 1500 RPM after that it starting to be lounder than Antec Tricool Fan. Wish i could say amazing price too. But if you looking something nice got this one. Blue fan and Copper it's just a nice mix.Recommended for those that wiling to put 80$ on a fan instead of 80$ more for a CPU. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-05-09 06:09 PM |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:VERY difficult to install - I cut myself a couple times...
Pros:QUIET (on low fan speed). AMAZING cooling for its size (Other heatsinks were too large for my oversized OCZ HPC Reaper ram). Ability to change the orientation of the ram is great. Love the external speed control. Comment:
I have an ASUS mATX M3N78-VM board, and I also bought some OCZ HPC Reaper ram (which has huge heatsinks that extrude from the ram). I orignally bought a Xigmatek HDT-S1283. However because you can only orient that heatsink in one direction on AMD boards the heatsink blocked 2 ram slots. I was VERY mad, and ended up selling the heatsink on craigslistI looked high and low trying to find a heatsink that wouldnt block the ram, and this was the ONLY one that was small enough (and from the reviews provided good cooling). It was way more than I wanted, however the quality definately matches the price. My CPU temps with stock cooling (7750 black edition) were at 51 degrees C idle. With this heatsink, my temps are 33 degrees C at idle (with the fan on max) and 37 degrees at idle with the fan at the lowest. I havent tested the temps at max load, but I am not worried about that at all...great product, would 100% buy again.Installation was a little difficult - I reccomend using a screwdriver to push down the final prong when attaching it on an AM2 setup. Despite the fact that I cut myself during installation, I still give it 5 stars cause I am so pleased with it. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:-FRICKN MASSIVE...i could not believe the size when i saw it!!! these pictures on ncix simply dont prepare you!-little expensive...
Pros:-the top "bling" of air coolers-superb performance and overclock stability-very easy installation (with AM2 board atleast) Comment:
well heres the deal...i wanted to get my X2 5600 to around 3 Ghz with maybe a little under 55 on load and get the most out of it until 2010...i frickn nailed a 3.2 with a little under 40 on LOAD on mobo that isnt really that good for overclock (M2N-E) SIMPLY AMAZING!...wut can i say,go ahead and BUY IT!! if size is a issue then you've been warned...i run this with my side panel off (case = XION) |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:- Can slice fingers very easily as copper fins are SHARP!- Pricey
Pros:- Cools well- Looks good (with Blue lcd) Comment:
This is not something to go for anymore due to the pricing of other coolers on the market, but this does a good job if you don't want a cooler where you have to replace the fan or anything like that. This fan is probably not for computer enthusiasts, but for the general user it works very well :) |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Mounting bracket used on Gigabyte EP45T-Extreme
Pros:Quiet Fan, Polished smooth heat sink. Comment:
Overall this is an excellent cooler. It is very large so be sure that it will fit in your case. The biggest problem I had was with the back mounting bracket used on a Gigabyte EP45T-Extreme. Problem is that there are 4 small surface mount resistors on the back of the board that are in the way. Had to notch out a small area of the mounting bracket, with a dremel tool to make it fit. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Size, some noise
Pros:Efficient, keeps things running very cool Comment:
I've had this baby for my gaming PC that I built last january and I have been very pleased. It keeps my Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz running at 27-28 C while idle and peaks at 33-34 C when under 100% load for long periods of time, which are very impressive temperatures. It is quite large, so it makes installing it tricky, but it fit on my Maximus Formula motherboard in an Antec 900 case.It manual dial can be used to lower the fan speed, but personally I've seen a rapid increase in heat when doing so, so I left it at maximum speed, which does mean a bit of noise... I can easily notice its noise even with all of the other fans running in this PC, it is easily the noisiest of them. |

This unit will keep things very frosty. Prior to installing it looks so gigantic, how will this heat sink fit? But all said and done it works like a charm. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:little on the big side, might not fit all cases
Pros:virtually silent, good cooling Comment:
Bought one of these to replace the stock cooler.. runs ultra quiet, does the job if you need that extra cooling element. have no previous aftermarket HSF experience so cant really go into great depth. But from what I have experienced so far I would recommend this product. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Large - May not fit in some casesDoesn't include an AMD Retention Clip
Pros:QuietCoolSpeed Control Comment:
I purchased this to go into an Antec 1200 case. It is rather large so it might not fit in some cases. Overall a good FHS. This is my first aftermarket so I cannot compare it to others. I purchased it to replace a stock heat-sink that was very loud running at 7000 RPM. This is very quiet, I don't overclock so I leave it at the lowest speed; it seems to handle fine.It comes with a speed controller that can be mounted inside or outside the case. The controller looks and feels cheap, and the cable looks ugly, but it works fine.I was a little worried installing it on my motherboard because of the size. It doesn't come with a retention clip for an AMD motherboard, and because I lost mine, I had to purchase one. Keep this in mind. It installed fine, and continues to work well. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:- not 100% silent
Pros:- great looking heat sink- excellent cooling- fairly silent at low speed- not overly huge Comment:
Bought this to cool an Intel Q9450. I put the fan speed to minimum and it does an excellent job at cooling the CPU. The temperature did not exceed 44 C under load and is at around 30C at idle (and we are in the middle of summer). Only complaint is that the fan is still audible (barely) at minimum speed. Highly Recommended. |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Big!!!! May not work with all motherboards, may not fit in all cases, I have this in an antec 900 and it's about 1 inch from the cover and the 200mm top fan
Pros:Keeps temperatures low, runs very quiet Comment:
I purchased this heatsink because I wanted to decrease the operating temperature of my phenom 9850, with the stock heatsink I was getting normal idle temperature of 49 to 50 degrees, running it under load boosted it to 62!!! I've got my machine set up in the corner of my apartment on top of my desk for airflow, after installing this heatsink my base idle temperature was reduced to only 40 degrees and under load it hits a maximum of 52 degrees |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:Isn't it a bit heavy?And what's with the light?
Pros:QuietFeels like the fins are going to slice your fingers when you pick it upComes with lots of heat paste Comment:
I was a little leary of strapping on a HSF that is nearly twice the weight recommended for my mobo, but nothing has broken off yet.I didn't expect to use the fan voltage regulator, but my silly Intel mobo fan connector has a fourth pin, which is evidently for fan control, because I had none on this 3-pin zalman. So I whipped out the included controller and now all is well.I can't speak to this thing's cooling power except to say it's a marvel to behold. (My silly Intel mobo won't tell me my temps. Did I mention I have a silly Intel mobo?) |

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Cons:it is still air no matter how you look at it
Pros:tis is the #1 fan & heatsink on the market Comment:
This heat sink fan and led combo is considered to be the number one fan by maximum P.C. |
I have owned this HSF for a few years now and I couldn't be happier it works well at both speeds. The fins and copper base is a perfect design, Zalman knows their CPU HSFs. Other than the pain to reapply paste and reinstall I can't complain about this product 5 stars for the CNPS9700 Blue LED
