ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Cons:- Size is a bit too big (make sure you measure your case before purchasing)- Putting the screws on can be a bit troublesome because the fan is huge and you got to fit the screws under the fan onto the motherboard
Pros:- Quiet (can hear some noise when it is at its max speed)- Equipped a LED which is quite cool- Able to see a significant 30 degrees temperature drop from a stock Intel cooler- Package included a small bottle of thermal compound Comment:
I am currently using a Gigabyte P55 motherboard and i5 750 CPU. With the stock cooler, my CPU can go up to 80 degrees when I play games such as battlefield and left 4 dead. At idle state, my CPU can still reach a quite high temperature of 50 degrees. After installing the Zalman 9900 max, my CPU temperature dropped about 30 to 40 degrees. Right now, the temperature at Idle state has never pass 30 degrees and even when I open 2 games at the same time, my CPU is barely reaching a 55 degrees. I highly recommend this CPU cooler if you are planning to get a liquid cooler. I think it works just as fine as a liquid cooler and yet the price is much cheaper. |

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Cons:no speed adjustment dial
Pros:A lot better than stock coolerBlue LEDLots of extra thermal paste Comment:
I bought this to do some light overclocking as well to match the LED's in my system. It keeps the CPU a lot cooler than the stock heat sink and is fairly aesthetically pleasing in the looks department. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a speed adjustment dial, only a 4pin fan adapter which runs the fan on low, otherwise, without it, it always runs at high speed which can be a bit noisy. The CPU fan speed can be changed in the BIOS but it would be nice if they included a speed dial in the box. |

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Cons:Loading block wouldn't fit with my mobo (M5A97 EVO) but seems to be fine and well without it.A longer hex key would have made installation a bit easier.
Pros:Works very well, and well priced at $35 bux after rebate. Comment:
At this price I just had to try it...I'd been running the Antec Kuhler H2O 920 liquid cooler on my FX6300 at 4.41 ghz and wasn't too pleased with it...this Zalman heatsink keeps it 5 degrees C cooler than the Antec liquid system, both at idle and under full load (Prime 95)...AND makes a lot quieter work of it too...this thing rocks! ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Cons:Installing this cooler could give you some serious headache sometimes
Pros:Bang/buck ratio is unmatched x $30.00 Comment:
For the price of $30 on sale it is a steal. JUST GET IT. x100 times better than CM Hyper 212+ and will allow your IB/SB-E to hit 4.5 GHz fairly easily provided you have half decent mobo. |

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Cons:- A bit tricky to mount.- No dimming, or swappable LED's
Pros:- Looks great.- Works well. Comment:
Mounting is straight-forward, and everything lined up perfect, but getting the screws in requires a fair bit of patience. I highly suggest mounting prior to motherboard installation, but it's still easily possible to do it afterwards. With a 3570K (ASrock Z77 Ext4, in a Fractal Design R4) I can get 4.4GHz with low 70C temps peak load (22C ambient), and it keeps my usual 4.2GHz overclock under 65C. Idle temperatures around 32C.If you have any OCD issues, the radiator fin spacing might drive you nuts. Not the best air-cooler, but certainly sufficient for average overclocks, and looks good doing it. |

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Cons:Not cheap
Pros:Functions the way it should beNice designQuiet fan Comment:
Had my Q9450 with P5Q-Deluxe for 2 years. Figured I would not feel bad if I kill the board/chip from OC'ing. Set 8x multiplier, 333FSB = Q9450 stock 2.6GHz. Passed Prime95 test for 8hrs but CPUID Hardware Monitor showed CPUTIN shot up to 57c, Core#0 up to 78c, Core#1-3 up to 60 something.Installed this nice looking heat sink (I just find it looking sexy compared to other heat sinks, especially the square ones). Set 8x multiplier, 400FSB = 3.2GHz. Running Prime95 at the moment. CPUID Hardware Monitor showed CPUTIN temp = 46c, Core#0 up to 58c, Core#1-3 fluctuate between 49 to 53c. WOW!!! What a big difference. Have to mention the blue LED fan matches the Antec900 nicely. Would buy again for the sale price. :) |

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Cons:Had to cut a little corner of my side fan so that it does not interfere with the CPU cooler, the hexagonal key is not very practical.
Pros:Stylish, quiet, blue led, do not interfere with memory RAM, efficient, thermal grease provided, not hard to install. Comment:
Installed it on i7 920 in asus rampage II extreme motherboard. Brought idle temps from 50 to 37 Celsius (and improving over time since TIM reacts better after several heat/cold periods), the load temps never exceed 63 Celsius (however it's on stock speeds of i7). Planning to OC soon to see the results. Satisfied, but missed the sale(still price matched it, but sale is better). Very good performance, would recommend! |
Used a few of these on builds and for the money you really cant beat them!
