ZOTAC AMP! GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) ZT-40102-10P Video Card
Cons:
- takes 3 pci-e slots of space- might be tricky for SLI setups
Pros: - EXTREMELY QUIET- VERY COOL TEMPS- idling at 31'C to 32'C as I type this review (using Everest Ultimate Edition)- doesn't heat up my tower (I have 5 120mm case fans)- full DirectX 11 support- HDMI 1.3a option Comment:
I wasn't expecting much but upon installing this Zotac card, it runs much cooler than my previous EVga GTX 280 (62% fan speed) and its much quieter. It's so quiet, I can now actually hear my case fans. It had the HDMI 1.3a option and the card wasn't as heavy as I thought it would be either. I always was an EVGa fan but now I'm a Zotac boy. Any video company that has a non reference heatsink / fan and only cost about $60 more than the standard reference cooling design ios worth every penny in my books. If you're looking for a GTX 480 pre over-clocked to the max and its super quiet, cool and runs like a charm, this is the card hands down. Just buy it already and you'll very pleasantly surprised as I was, cheers. |
Bought this card on boxing day. Very pleased with it, the huge fan keeps its cool however it is massive and takes up 3 slots on my motherboard. Was able to run all my heavy duty graphic games fairly smooth on ultra settings.
