Framerates can slow down a bit on the highest settings in some games, but this is to be expected for a cheap low power draw card.
Pros: Low power draw straight from the PCI express slot without the need for an upgraded power source. Great price for the budget gamer. |
I play World of Warcraft and Starcraft II, and this card has been great for me. WoW plays extremely smooth in most areas on ultra settings, slowing down a bit with everything cranked in large areas with lots of action (about 20 fps at the lowest, up to 120 fps indoors, very smooth in dungeons). SC2 looks beautiful on ultra settings, but loses a bit of smoothness in the framerate when there are ridiculous amounts of units on screen. Very playable though.I'd highly recommend this card for a budget gamer who doesn't want to upgrade their power source in order to purchase a high end card.
