Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:what everyone else said
Pros:looks good, easy setup Comment:
Good product, does the job, bad viewing angle blah blah blah. Not sad I bought it, but really it should be like $40. My biggest complaint is the watt meter is horribly inaccurate. Q6600, 2x8800gts 640, 4g ram, strike extreme mb and I'm only using 230watts at load. My comp wouldn't even turn on with a 620psu I had to upgrade. So I think the watt guage is pretty useless. |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:Annoying beeping (must deactivate the fan monitoring). Watt meter need place outside your case. View angle. 4th fan MUST be a CPU FAN (4pins)
Pros:Sleek desing. Many controls. Watt consumption meter. Comment:
Good Product. Happy with my purchase. But Scythe fan controler cost less than this one (i own one) for the same result (half the price). |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:LCD viewing angles are really bad.
Pros:Looks nice. Controls 4 fans. Comment:
This does what it's supposed to do, but the viewing angles on the LED are absolutely horrid. The wattage monitor is pretty neat. |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:Viewing Angle
Pros:Ease of use, Alarm, Layout Comment:
I picked this up earlier this week while I was in Vancouver and I love it. It took a while to install, but that was in part due to the fact tha tI was instaling 3 new fans at the same time. Its controls are really easy to use and the lcd gives all the info you could need with regards to your fans. I was also pleasantly surprised because I didn't realize that it came with 4 temp sensors. Only thing I wish is that it came with another y splitter, really handy to be able to control 2 fans ( say 2 cpu heatsink fans ) with one control. |

This review was modfied by poster @ 05-19-08 07:40 AM |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:display is hard to read unless you're looking directly at it
Pros:-looks great-allows for good controlling of fans-temp readout-wattage readout Comment:
Really good product overall. I really like how I can control 4 fans to get rid of the noise when Iam only surfing the net and so forth. The temp/wattage readout is also a very cool feature. The only problem is to read the display you have to be looking directly at it. |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:viewing angle is as bad as people say, maybe worse.
Pros:nice looking, watt meter, temperature sensors. Comment:
I'd say its a fairly solid product. Looks sexy, pretty functional.. watt meter is nice. The viewing angle really is horrid, and because of this alone, i would probably not buy again. if this was fixed I would give it 5 stars, but for now, its a 3. |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:-Annoying to control, because of one knob, and toggling between each fan is required-Extremely overpriced-viewing angle of LCD lights is about 20 degrees
Pros:-Can control up to 4 fans + 1 PWM fan-Control 2 fans with one knob ("Y" 3pin cable)-Can detect power wattage usage-Looks really slick Comment:
do NOT buy this. It's a waste of money. I would value it at around $25 only. There's too many problems with this. Function wise, itdoes the job well, but so does many other less expensive fan controllers. The thing I enjoyed the most after this purchase was that I got a "Y" 3pin connector so that I can power two fans with one power plug. The most important thing with a fan controller with LCD lights is to be able to see it. But if you put your tower on the floor, there is no way you will be able to see the LCD numbers/text. The viewing angle is about 20 degrees. What this means is that you pretty much have to be leveled head on in order to see the LCD. Or you won't be able to see anything. |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:The display
Pros:Controls are good, fun to play with :) Comment:
Just like everyone else is saying, the display on this is terrible. You need to be veiwing it pretty much straight on to make any sense out of what it is saying. However, if you are like me and keep your rig higher up on your desk, then it's pretty cool. |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:cannot be installed on rail type casesviewing angle is VERY narrowcannot control some fansmany wires
Pros:displays powernice looking Comment:
It is a nice product with many problems. The biggest problem is that you can only read the display when you are directly in front of it. This makes it very hard to use unless you set your case on the desk. For cases that use rail to install 3.5 inch device, it won't get locked in place, but it stays, as long as you don't push it too hard.At first, I used it to control some Noctua fans. The rpm cannot be read properly and speed control makes the fans start and stop regularly. However, Nexus fans work perfect with it.If you do not have PWM fan, you will only be able to use fan slot 1-3, not 4, 4 is PWM only. |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:-Thermal probes suck-to many wires-time consuming to change fan speeds
Pros:-Looks Good-Power usage is useful Comment:
Waste of money in my opinion, although it looks good in my case it isn't very practical. It takes to long to change fan speeds. First to have to push the button to cycle through the fans, then use the knob to adjust the speed, it then blinks for about 5 seconds, then another 30 seconds for it to speed up or slow down, and in the mean time you CPU is burning up. Then if you disconnect a fan you hear a very loud beeping until you cycle through the fans to disable it, very annoying. The thermal probes are a pain to use and just at clutter to your case. The power usage feature is nice, I don't know how accurate it is though.Your money is better spent elsewhere, like on a cheaper rheobus model. |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:only weakness i see is that the lcd display doesn't have a very wide viewing angle....but.... i bought it for what it claims it does and it does do what it claims to do, perfectly....
Pros:Looks freakin Nice!, easy to install, does exactly what it says it does, works flawlessly, temp sensors are extremely accurate.... comes in a mobo style box-good for holding all your extra crap Comment:
I have an Antec Sonata 3 case, so anyone wondering if it fits, it does, dial is about 1cm in depth, 1 thing i would like is 3 preset buttons so i can program 1 for silent mode, 1 for regular use mode, and 1 for high end gaming mode, so i could effortlessly switch between settings, another thing which would be better is a wider viewing angle or the ability to "hinge" it out to view from aboveGreat product, if your looking for a fan cont. this is sweet, cant go wrong |

Zalman ZM-MFC2 4 Fan Speed Controller 5.25IN Bay W/ Backlit LCD Display & Watt Meter
Cons:- Can't read display unless looking directly at it- Some temperatures a bit off - Fan speed adjustments are touchy- Pricey
Pros:- PSU Wattage meter quite accurate- Good assortment of cables included- Nice design and will fit in cases with doors Comment:
If the fans are set below 600RPM it sounds an alarm, as yet haven't figured out if it's possible to turn it off. Not a good feature for silent PC people. The biggest grip is that the display is only visible when you are looking directly at it. You'll likely find yourself on your knees to read it if your tower is on the floor like mine. I think over clockers may like this device to keep track of CPU, GPU, and case temps while changing timings.I'd expect the next version of this to be better. It's close to being really cool but the complaints mentioned keep me from recommending it for most people. If you just want fan control you might want to consider a cheaper simpler option like the Sunbeam fan controller for around $25.00 |
1.Real time display of power consumption.2.Four sensors for temperature monitoring and display.3.Monitoring and control of one PWM fan and three standard fans.4.Alarm system to notify non-operation of any of the fans.5.Fan’s operation status indicated with animated propeller images.6.Si on ne regarde pas l'écran directement en avant, c'est illisible. Cette machine a un viewing angle de p-e 15 degrés.
