I have had this laptop for just over a month. I use it every single day. It is very quiet and has excellent build quality.the large 220 fan cools the entire underside of your laptop no worrying about it being possitioned under your laptops cooling vents.It is quiet at all speeds so i run it at max for the best performance. That being said while I cant hear a difference in lowest setting and max setting I also really cant notice a cooling difference.If i could change one thing .... It would be to have a higher top speed it maybe be silent but i think its "extreme" cooling performance is moderate. I would prefer the option to have it audible at higher settings while getting some good air flow.would certainly buy again.

Even at the very highest speed setting, it is fairly quiet. I would def reccomend this product if you are looking for an above average cooler.I have seen temp drops of about around 8 degrees, give or take. I've run it at full speed and everything in between, the cooler is fairly quiet at all speeds.The size is also very forgiving and can easily handle a 17" notebook. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.It is a great projuct, and I regret not getting the Auxiliary DC Jack version the ZM-NC3000U. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-23-10 10:44 AM

I was sceptic as to which laptop cooler to get and I have no regrets getting this one. It runs extremely quiet, you can barely hear it. It runs quieter than my laptop's fan. My computer's internal fan doesnt even run or barely does because it is running so cold. Instead of heat coming out of my computer's exhaust port, i can feel cold air at times coming out, i guess the cooler is doing its job. It does blow cold air onto the bottom of the laptop, but the aluminum grill on the cooler absorbs the heat from the computer. My computers CPU's temperatures dropped anywhere from between 5-15 degrees celius. The temperatures are running in the 30 degress celius range, when before they were in the 40's to 50's.There are only two USB ports on the back of the cooler,but the better version of this model has more. One of the ports is ocupied by the USB cable to power the cooler, and i use the other USB port for my mouse. So for me, it's perfect. The elevation of the cooler is just perfect. Makes typing so much easier. Before the optical drive on my laptop was scaping a little on the top of my desk, now it doesn't.All in all, this cooler is a perfect choice for anyone. If you want more USB ports just get this better version of this cooler. Don't overlook this cooler. Zalman has made an amazing cooler.
