Pros:Fastest card avaliableDoesn't break the bank entirelyDoesn't catch on fire.Free games. |
I bought this card so I could max out Battlefield 3. Pretty absurd to spend $600 on pretty much one video game, but I'm hoping this will give me at least a little future proofing. I can run BF3 at Ultra, and it'll never drop below 55FPS. That would be with heavy smoke. Normally it runs above 70. The card stays quiet, doesn't have any of the problems fermi had with being loud and hot. I don't see why they chose to bundle Assassins Creed 1, 2, and Revelations with this though. Those aren't games that demonstrate graphical capability in the least.Metro 2033 runs on Very High with Advanced DoF turned off at around 45-50FPS in the outdoor environments.Three screens are supported off of one card. Kudos to nvidia for finally implementing that. Though you're not going to be running BF3 with three screens off of one card, unless low settings are acceptable.I've already achived a 10% core overclock and 25% memory without even touching the voltage. Though GPU boost WILL still overclock even if you have, so keep that in mind.
