Zotac GeForce GTX 970 AMP! Extreme 1203MHZ 4GB DDR5 x3 DP/HDMI/DVI-I DX12 PCI-E 3.0 Video Card
Cons:Firestorm
Pros:Unbelievably silent, awesome aesthetic, back plate, metal frame, sick L.E.D's, unbelievable speed, additional power connectors, perfect packaging, All around wonderful card |
I picked up this card a couple days ago from NCIX Langely, i really wanted a GTX 970 to run my 5760 X 1080 setup fluidly, i upgraded from a GTX 770 EVGA ACX SC card. Online i read a lot of good and bad reviews, the only bad reviews were just hate on the brand, Zotac, saying it wasn't trustworthy, and i was contemplating this card or the wind-force, and after i bought it i was worried i made a mistake. Yet when i got home, and opened the incredibly well packed packaging, i feasted my eyes on the most beastly card ive ever seen. This card simply looks amazing. With excitement i threw it into my system and immediately noticed something, i didn't hear anything. I had to look and make sure the fans were really spinning and i was shocked to see they were. The sound difference from my 770 is astonishing. The L.E.D's look incredibly good and i am now SO glad i took this card over the wind-force. The clock speeds come factory overclocked and its very very easy to clock them even higher. This card is a true beast, and if your thinking of not buying this just because the brand is bad, think again because this card is 100% worth buying. My only complaint is that firestorm isnt a great software, but it also isnt bad, i have seen much worse. Zotac is making a real comeback with this card.
