acomdata 1TB 3.5" External Hard Drive
Cons:No eSATA cable

Pros:Quiet, Massive capacity, small form factor
Comment:
Good looking product and for the price, you can't beat the capacity, at least not now. It's got little rubber feet to cut down on vibration and the drive is very quiet compared to other external drives I've used. If I were to catch it on sale again, and needed another TB of storage I would pick it up again. My only beef was that there was no eSATA cable, but there was a USB cable.

acomdata 1TB 3.5" External Hard Drive
Cons:Buzzing power supply

Pros:Price, utility, usb + esata
Comment:
So far everything is stellar about this external harddrive. The only problem is that the power supply for it is buzzing. I'll be contacting the manufacturer/ncix to get a new one. I'm looking forward to making this a backup solution using a cheap esata cable I PMed.

acomdata 1TB 3.5" External Hard Drive
Cons:Samsung device in drive is faulty.

Pros:Compact, fairly quick transfer rate.
Comment:
After having the drive for only 40 days, the Samsung device in the drive broke, and all my data was lost. Apparently Seagate devices are also faulty, and a mass recall will occur in the near future. Seagate is also paying for the data recovery of the drives that contain their devices, which is unheard of.

Cons:Gets a little bit warm but it's a big issue.

Pros:Good speed, stable, works well.
Comment:
I'm planning to buy more from Acom. Just waiting for my mail-in rebate to pay up, or else I wouldn't trust them again so hopefully it'll come soon.

acomdata 1TB 3.5" External Hard Drive
Cons:none so far

Pros:Small case, quiet, stays relatively cool, great price
Comment:
I bought this as storage for my media. I was very happy to see how small this enclosure is. I have had no problems with this drive so far and have been using it on a regular basis to stream media over my network.

acomdata 1TB 3.5" External Hard Drive
Cons:no eSATA cable

Pros:Excellent price for Boxing DayCompact design Blue/Red lights not overpowering at night
Comment:
Very nice design, more compact that most 1TB external designs. Came preformatted in FAT32 - reformatted to NTFS - be prepared to wait for a while - took over 4 hours to do it. Did not come with an external eSATA cable, and the USB cable it comes with is a little short. When checking the drive was pleasantly surprised to discover that it's using the Western Digital WD Caviar GP WD10EACS SATA2 GreenPower Hard Drive with 8.9 ms Access time.

acomdata 1TB 3.5" External Hard Drive
Cons:None that I can find.

Pros:Fast transfer rate, silent, compact, looks good, very good heat dispersion.
Comment:
This is a very good product, for any needs at all. It runs basically silent, unless you put your ear right up to it, it has a very good transfer rate for both USB and ESATA, it is very compact because it does not have a fan, and it doesn't have a fan because it disperses heat extremely well. It also looks good.I highly recommend this item to anybody looking to get an external hard drive, even if you don't need that much space, the price is amazing for this piece of hardware. I don't need 2 TB of space, but if I did, I would definitely purchase another one of these.

Really good product to purchase. So far no problem at all. It just plugs and works for both Mac and PC. I am planning to get another one.

acomdata 1TB 3.5" External Hard Drive
Cons:stand a bit flimsy and easy to knock over

Pros:Stable, no errorCool to the touchSmall physical sizeeSata connection
Comment:
I am pleased with this drive. The drive seems to be cool when I touch it with my hands, compared to other brands that I currently have. The physical size of the drive is small unlike other 1TB drives (western digital myBook, more like "myDictionary"), so it's easy to find a place to tuck away. The eSata connection is a nice extra, but the cable is understandably not included; they are quite expensive if you plan to get one.

acomdata 1TB 3.5" External Hard Drive
Cons:Runs a bit hot, but what can you expect after copying 500GB in 4hrs? :)

Pros:Compact, smart looking metal case. Setup within minutes using eSata connection.
Comment:
Very happy with this drive so far. Quick format to NTFS. Connected using the eSata cable, the transfers are noticeably faster than my USB2 external drives, as expected. Nice cheap solution for storing all your media.
