At this price I bought 4 and all of them buzz like there are 10 wasps inside fighting to get out. I actually think they are a serious fire hazard. I am going to return all 4, or at this price, toss them and not waste gas returning. I think that NCIX should investigate and possibly stop selling them. |

I bought a few of these for when I travel. On sale at $4 a piece, I don't feel so bad if I end-up leaving one behind in a hotel room.Charge time with the iPad is the same as the original power adapter I got from Apple. |

Cons:Somewhat shoddy quality.High pitched coil whine when initially plugging into a wall (fortunately this goes away once it "warms up").

Knockoff Apple products tend to be a real gamble, but I picked this up with an order since it was a fraction of the price of the original Apple iPad charger. Unfortunately I don't have an original to compare with at the moment.What I noticed upon opening it is that the fit and finish of the adapter is a little poor. It is definitely not up to Apple's standards. It didn't break through normal use, however.When I plugged it into the wall, I got a disturbing whine noise that seemed to emanate through the USB port. Fortunately, once the unit warms up, this seems to mostly go away.It charges my iPad, although I haven't thoroughly tested how much more quickly this is than the old 5W Apple iPhone AC adapters, or how it compares to the original 10W adapter. It seems to definitely be faster than a 5W charger, though.It hasn't fried any of my iDevices yet! (Fingers are crossed). |
Bought a few of these for around the house since me and the family have 5 iDevices between us. We are always looking for chargers and cords. lol. These work just as good as the Apple ones so for the price it is a good buy. No problems with the ones we bought and now there is a charger in almost every room in the house.
