nGear HDMI Extender With 3DTV Support Over Single CAT5E/6 Cable Up to 70M With HDBASE-T Technology
Cons:The output device runs a little hot, had to move it from a wooden surface to a metal surface.
Pros:Easy to set up. Using Cat5e which I crimped myself. I'm running the HDMI signal over 15-20 meters. I tested this with my PS3 while gaming, and watching 3D Bluray. There was no noticeable lag in games and it was able to Pass a PCM signal to my receiver, DTS and DD as well. For some reason this would not work with my Raspberry PI and RaspBMC. I was able to navigate the menus but when I attempted playback I got a black screen with audio. Not a big deal, this is not what I bought it for. Right now I have this running from my PC in the bedroom to the living room Home Theatre setup. In the bedroom I have a 3 monitor Eyefinity setup where I game with Mouse and Keyboard. When I switch profiles the output switches to my 55" LG TV in the living room. I have a wireless xbox adapter for my PC so in the living room I can game with an Xbox xontroller, I also use the xpadder application to map mouse movements to the right analog stick and right mouse click to the right trigger. With Xpadder I can open and close application from my living room using the controller.Casual and sports games in the Living room, and serious gaming in the bedroom. |
Great product for the price. With the competition you are paying $50 - $100 more.
