This is a great case for the price (I got mine for $18.99 on a weekly sale). It's well-stitched and roomy with plenty of storage space for power adapters and extras, and it's big enough for an HP DV9000 series 17" widescreen laptop - that's definitely big! The only problem is that the laptop holder is right against the aluminum bar that holds the retracting mechanism. There's a thin layer of nylon between your $1000 investment and a VERY hard piece of aluminum - I put a piece of high-density foam under the nylon (which attaches with Velcro) and now the laptop is well protected.Don-t hesitate on this case - it's probably not god enough for a true road warrior, but if you mostly take your laptop to school or Starbuck's, this is a great value!
